2025 Toyota Hilux N80 Upgrade

In this blog we take you through one of the most well-planned and impressive builds we have completed this year. The owner came to us with a clear and well considered vision, and together we turned that plan into an incredible result that not only performs beautifully but looks outstanding on the road.
Improving the Clearance and Ride
To prepare this Toyota Hilux N80 for off-road adventures, the owner wanted better clearance and improved grip. To achieve this, he chose a PSR TTG 3 inch Lift Kit. The PSR system offers great value and provides a noticeably smoother ride while adding extra clearance and leveling out the factory rake. The improved height and performance are ideal for tougher tracks and weekend exploring.
The next step was to upgrade the tyres and rims to something that could handle both weekday commuting and rugged off-road use. The owner selected Falken WILDPEAK AT3W tyres paired with Dirty Life Enigma Pro rims, one of our workshop’s favourite all terrain combinations. Together they offer an ideal balance of comfort on sealed roads and durability in challenging off-road conditions. This makes them excellent value for anyone driving the same vehicle during the week and heading out into the bush on weekends.
Safe Guarding
The next stage of the build focused on protecting the front end while adding key accessories for night driving and recovery. The owner wanted a strong blend of performance and style, so the PSR Ambush bar was the obvious choice. This bar is 100 percent Australian made and features clean, modern lines with a tough construction and generous approach angle. To elevate the build even further, the bar was sandblasted and painted in Toyota factory silver. This was a fantastic decision that ties the entire vehicle together visually.
With the bar installed, the next addition was a set of Stedi Type X Evo LED driving lights. These lights produce an impressive 18,920 lumens and provide outstanding long range visibility after dark.
A Carbon Offroad winch was also fitted, offering a massive 12,000 lb pulling capacity and IP68 water resistance. This winch is built for Australian conditions and ensures the Hilux is ready for recovery situations whenever needed.
We also installed the customer supplied Phat snorkel and airbox to improve airflow into the engine on dusty roads and provide added protection during deeper river crossings.
Ready for the Weekend
This Toyota arrived already fitted with a MITS Alloy canopy and tray. To complete the weekend touring setup, a few key accessories were added.
First, a Rhino Rack Pioneer 6 Platform and Backbone system was installed to provide additional load carrying capacity. A 42 inch Stedi 80 LED Double Row Light Bar was added to the front of the platform to further boost visibility during nighttime driving.
A Rhino Rack Sunseeker 2.5 metre Awning was then mounted to the canopy, offering plenty of shade and comfort when camping or taking a break on the tracks.
Finally, a Redarc Tow Pro Elite V3 Electric Trailer Brake Controller was installed to provide smooth and reliable braking when towing a caravan or trailer.
